SAN ANTONIO (SMU) – SMU put together a dominant performance in today's 4-0 win over UTSA. The Mustangs have been lethal on the road, winning all four of their away dual matches so far this season. San Antonio native Louis Cloud won in straight sets to help boost the now 9-4 Mustangs to victory.

SMU got off to a hot start in the doubles matches. Liam Krall and Pranav Kumar dominated on line No. 2, winning 6-1. Adam Neff and Ivan Thamma followed with a 6-4 win on court No. 1. The duo has won four out of their last five matches together. Julian Steinhausen and Huntley Allen led 5-3 when their teammates clinched the point.

Krall, playing in the No. 2 singles spot, rolled past his opponent 6-2, 6-1. The sophomore has been dominant all season long, currently holding a 10-2 overall dual record.

Mustang freshman Cloud fell down 3-0 in his first set, but came back to win 6-4. He didn't slow down in the second set, winning decisively, 6-2. Cloud won 12 of the final 15 games to improve to 2-2 at the No. 6 line.

Thamma finished the job for the Mustangs with a solid 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 5. Neff and Caleb Chakravarthi both led their matches when play concluded.

This was the Mustangs 5^th sweep of the year.

Win Streaks
Liam Krall is on a two-match winning streak and has an overall singles dual record of 10-2. He is also 7-3 in dual doubles matches.

Julian Steinhausen and Huntley Allen have won three straight doubles matches and are 4-1 in dual play this season.
