DALLAS – The Mustangs defeated UT Tyler 7-0 to win their 10^th match of the year and second in a row. SMU improves to 5-2 at home and 10-4 on the season. Louis Cloud led the way for the Mustangs, playing a near perfect match at the No. 1 line.

Caleb Chakravarthi and Callaway Clark got to work in No. 1 doubles, pulling away late in their match to secure a 6-4 victory. John Zisette and Kyle Sillman fought off a tough UT Tyler duo 7-5 on court No. 2 to take the doubles point for the Mustangs. Zisette and Sillman are now 2-0 in dual play this season.

Playing in his sixth dual match and first at No. 1 singles, freshman Cloud impressed with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 victory. He has now won two straight matches.

After a solid doubles performance, Zisette also secured a 6-4, 6-4 singles win on line No. 5. He is undefeated in dual play this season at 2-0.

Captain Jordi Redelijk locked in the match victory for the Mustangs, winning in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4 on court No. 2. The junior won match point with a huge ace down the inside line. He improves to 3-1 in dual play.

In his first singles action of the season, Huntley Allen battled to a 6-4, 7-6 victory over a strong left-handed opponent on court No. 3. After winning the first set, Allen fell behind 3-0 in the second. He went on to win seven out of the next 10 games.

After winning in doubles, Clark followed up with a three-set victory in singles. Playing on the No. 4 line, Clark won 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. He is now 2-0 on the season with both wins coming at the No. 4 spot.

Freshman Alex Stafford showed excellent resilience after dropping the first set 3-6 on court No. 6. Stafford won the second 7-5 before winning 10-8 on the final set tiebreak. He is also 2-0 in dual play this season.

This was the Mustangs' 6^th sweep of the year.
 
Upcoming Matches
The Mustangs have a quick turnaround, as they will face off with No. 19 Middle Tennessee at home Friday at 2:00 p.m. They will also have home matches on Sunday and Monday against No. 65 South Florida (ESPN+) and No. 3 TCU, respectively.
