DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Men's Tennis junior Trevor Svajda was named Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-America as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

He earned his second All-America honors after being ranked the No. 4 singles player in the nation on the final ITA rankings last week. The ITA awards All-American status to singles players finishing in the Top 20 of the Final ITA Singles Rankings in May.

Svajda earned his first All-America honor after reaching the round of 16 of the NCAA Singles Championship this fall, becoming SMU's first All-American since 2004. He placed runner-up in the tournament, becoming the first Mustang to reach the championship match since Richey Reneberg in 1986.

On top of the two All-America honors, Svajda had an illustrious 2025-26 season, being named the UTR Hurd Award Finalist, All-ACC First Team Singles, three-time ACC Player of the Week and being ranked No.1 in the ITA singles rankings four times.

The California native finished the season with a 32-6 record, including 16 ranked wins. He is fourth all-time in program history in single-season singles wins with 32.

Svajda is also ranked No. 56 in the final ITA doubles rankings with Jerry Barton, while SMU finished the season ranked No. 29 in the final ITA team rankings. This is SMU's highest final team ranking since 2022.

Recently, he was selected to compete in the American Collegiate Player Wild Card Playoff in Orlando, Florida, on June 16-18. The winner of the four-player men's singles playoff will earn a US Open main draw singles wild card, while the finalist will earn a US Open qualifying wild card.
