DALLAS (SMU) – The No. 39 SMU women's tennis team fell 4-2 to No. 25 Kansas on Sunday at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex.

Lana Mavor, earning the team's fourth-consecutive doubles point.
Doyle/Nylander claimed a 6-3 win against Kansas' 54th-ranked Maria Titova/Makia Ngounoue, notching their third-straight victory and improving to 6-1 in dual doubles. With the clinch on the line on court two, Keberle/Mavor defeated Raphaelle Lacasse/Mariana Manyoma-Velasquez 7-5 to take the one-point advantage.
On court six, Petchey improved her dual singles record to 8-6, downing Velasquez 6-2, 6-2. Petchey has won four of her last five contests, three of which have been against ITA-ranked teams.
Keberle, facing No. 63 Titova on line one, dropped the opening set 6-2, then responded with a 6-4 victory of her own to force a third, deciding set. The final set was tied at one-all, when Kansas clinched the team win.
Doyle, after falling in her first set against Ngounoue on court two, won 6-4 in the second. After falling behind 5-0 in the third set, Doyle made a late push, winning two games before ultimately falling 6-2.
On line three, Nylander narrowly fell in an 11-9 tiebreak to decide the opening set against KU's Sonia Smagina, before falling 6-3 in her second set.
The Mustangs close their regular season road schedule on Apr. 3 at Wichita State.
