DALLAS (SMU) – The No. 16 SMU rowing team heads to Austin for the final regular-season race of the 2022 season, taking part in the Longhorn Invitational on Saturday.
 
Hosted by No. 1 Texas on Walter E. Long Lake, the field will also feature No. 10 Ohio State, No. 14 Virginia and (RV) UCLA. SMU will compete in the first varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four, second varsity four and third varsity eight.
 
Races will be conducted as straight finals, running from 8:36 a.m. to 9:24 a.m.

Spectator entry to Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park is located at 6614 Blue Bluff Rd, Austin, TX 78724 (Map). Entry will begin at 7 a.m. and parking is free. Once at capacity, no additional queuing to get into the park will be allowed. Parking along the right of way outside the park is not allowed.
 
At the 2021 Longhorn Invite, the Mustangs - then ranked No. 14 - advanced to the A finals in all three varsity eight events and the varsity four. They went on to sweep No. 10 Alabama in the first, second and third eights.
