ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (SMU) – The SMU women's golf team posted a field-best 2-under par 286 in the final round to finish second at the Dick McGuire Invitational at the UNM Championship Course. SMU finished the two-day event with a score of 1-under 863, recording a runner-up finish to Ohio State. SMU picked up wins over host New Mexico, Iowa State, Texas Tech, USC, Kansas, Kansas State, Northwestern, Iowa and others.
Mackenzie Lee led the Ponies over the final 18, shooting a 4-under 68 to jump up into a tie for 13
th, while day one star
Ellie Szeryk finished tied for 17
th.
Michelle Zhang shot even-par 72 today to tie for 23
rd, while
Sophie Biediger and
Lauren Miller carded 73s and finished 34
th and T-35
th, respectively.
