COLLEGE STATION, Texas (SMU) — SMU's Reka Patel and Millie Skelton travel this weekend to compete in the Texas A&M Invitational beginning Friday, Nov. 3 at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
At the Gamecock Shootout — the Mustangs' most recent competition — Skelton won two of her doubles matches in addition to SMU recording 15 total wins.
Patel and Skelton have already paired together at the H-E-B Invite, winning over Nebraska's Jillian Roa and Anfisa Danilchenko, 6-4. Patel also earned a win in singles play over Illinois during the first day of play.Â
The two paired again at the SMU Invite, in the Mustangs' own Styslinger / Altec Tennis Complex, winning two of three doubles matches they played. During the final day of competition, Skelton also clinched a singles win over Arkansas' Morgan McCarthy — winning 6-3 in both sets.
The Texas A&M Invitational will be formatted for regular collegiate play, with doubles being one set with no ad scoring. Singles will be played in a full two out of three, unless both coaches agree to shorten.
