FORT WORTH, Texas (SMU)- SMU track & field completed the TCU Alumni Invite on Saturday afternoon at the Lowdon Track Complex.
Raelyn Roberson and
Maykayla Jackson competed for the Mustangs in the 100m. Roberson finished with a time of 12.45 and Jackson just behind her with a time of 12.48 in her first collegiate 100m.
SMU had three representatives in the 200m.
Whitney Williams finished with a time of 24.98 to place in 14
th. Freshman
Camryn McPhaul finished with a time of 25.58 followed by
Olivia Dobson with a time of 25.77 – a personal best.
Williams and McPhaul then competed in the 400m coming in fourth and fifth. Williams finished with a time of 57.33 and McPhaul came in with a time of 57.40.
Mackenzie Montandon was the lone Mustangs in the 800m run where she finished with a time of 2:23.79 in fifth place.
SMU notched the second and third place in the 400m hurdles.
Emily Waller finished second with a time of 1:02.87. Freshman
Nea Sanders picked up the third spot with a time of 1:02.95.
The Mustangs finished in third place in the 4x400 meter relay with members of
Nea Sanders,
Camryn McPhaul,
Emily Waller and
Whitney Williams. The team finished with a time of 3:54.66.
Olivia Dobson came in a tie for second in the high jump with a jump of 1.65 meters. She also placed in third in the javelin throw with a throw of 42.09 meters.
Maria Kavalierou finished in sixth in the long jump with a jump of 5.50 meters.
The Mustangs will return to action on Mar. 29- Apr. 1. SMU will be split across four events, the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in San Francisco, the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif., the Texas Relays in Austin and the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas.
