ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (SMU) -- The University of New Mexico's Dr. MLK Jr. brought another exciting week of lower times and further jumps for the SMU athletes.  

The meet began on Friday and Haylie Donovan started the action off with a time to 24.38 to tie the tenth fastest time in program history. Kirin Chacchia had a PR with a time of 24.61, and Jasmine Franklin ran 24.97 -- a season best time. 

In the 400, Ariana Sutton ran a time of 54.95 for fifth place and Magnolia Crissup had a PR, running 56.53. In the 60, Cleo Martin-Evans had a PR run of 7.79 and Franklin ran 7.81 -- another season's best. In the 60m hurdles, Chacchia had her second PR of the weekend with a time of 8.54. 

The jumps brought personal wins as well. Lotta Edzards placed third in the triple jump with 12.86m -- also moving her to third in SMU's history. Hedda Kavlavag had a season's best jump of 12.39m, and Lily Muzzy added her name to the Top-10 list with a jump of 11.99m, placing her tenth in program history. 

The meet concluded with the highest placement on SMU's Top-10 list for the weekend – second in the 4x400. The relay made up of Donovan, Chacchia, Crissup and Sutton ran a time of 3:39.08. 

The Mustangs will be back in action next weekend on Friday, January 30 in Boston.
