DALLAS (SMU) – The No. 1 SMU Equestrian team faces No. 4 Texas A&M at the Dallas Equestrian Center Saturday at 10 a.m. SMU will honor its seniors in a formal ceremony slated to start at 2:30 p.m.
UP TO THIS POINT
No. 1 SMU enters Saturday's contest after taking down No. 8 Baylor 10-9 in Waco on March 2. The Mustangs won two out of their three road meets in SEC country Feb. 23-25. The Mustangs started off the trip dominating South Carolina 13-7. One day later, SMU downed Georgia 10-9. SMU suffered its lone loss of the season Feb. 25, a 15-5 setback at Auburn. SMU opened its spring slate with back-to-back victories over UT Martin. SMU defeated the Skyhawks 13-5 on Jan. 28 in Dallas, and 12-6 on Feb. 11 in Martin, Tennessee. The Mustangs finished the fall with an unblemished 4-0 record. SMU started the season taking down then-No. 1 OSU 10-9 on the road followed by beating Baylor 13-6 in Dallas. SMU closed out the fall in dominating fashion, taking down Delaware State 19-1 and UC Davis 14-6.
