Mustangs Earn No. 13 Ranking In Coaches Poll

DALLAS (CRCA/SMU) - SMU rowing earned a No. 13 ranking in the latest edition of the Pocock CRCA Coaches Poll on Tuesday April 12.
The Mustangs maintained their No. 13 ranking that they had for last week's ranking. Last time out, SMU won a total of six races at the Big 10 Invitational including four on Saturday.
On the first day of the Big 10 Invitational, SMU tallied eight top two finishes in 10 races. SMU won the second varsity four race with a time of 7:18.561 beating Indiana and Michigan. SMU also won the first varsity four race with a nearly five second advantage over Ohio State.
On Saturday, the Mustangs won four races, placing in the top two in each race. The first varsity eight, second varsity four, third varsity four and second varsity eight all recorded victories.
The second varsity eight boat was named AAC Boat of the Week for its performance across the weekend, winning one race and placing second twice. The team beat the likes of Michigan, Alabama, Indiana, Duke, Rutgers and Michigan State.
The Mustangs return to the water for the Pac 12 Dual hosted by Stanford running April 29-30.
