
Rowing Ranked As Second In Region

DALLAS (SMU) - SMU Rowing came in at No. 2 in the NCAA's regional rowing rankings.
The latest edition of the collegiate regional rowing rankings was posted to the NCAA's website on Wednesday. The Mustangs placed second among the teams of Region 5, only trailing Michigan for the top spot in the region.
In the individual boat rankings, the Mustangs were ranked second in the first varsity eight, one spot behind Michigan. The first varsity eight was named American Athletic Conference Boat of the Week after their performance at the latest meet, the Pac 12 Invite.
In the second varsity eight rankings, SMU placed first in the region ahead of five schools from the Big 10 Conference. The SMU second varsity eight boat was also named AAC Boat of the Week after their performance at the Big 10 Invite.
In the varsity four rankings, SMU is ranked fourth, trailing Ohio State, Michigan and Iowa.
Next up, the Mustangs travel to Tennessee for the American Athletic Conference Rowing Championship slated for May 14.
