IRVING, Texas (SMU/The American) – The AAC announced Eliana Salama and Mayu Inokawa earned AAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards on Monday, Aug. 28. Samantha Estrada was also named to the week's Honor Roll.

The conference honors follow SMU's 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten No. 25 Tennessee. In the 83^rd minute, Salama split two defenders to sink the game-winner for her first career goal. Salama's goal bumped her season shot accuracy to .750.

Inokawa made multiple tackles without fouling in an 86-minute performance, helping SMU continue its defensive streak of allowing one or fewer goals in 17 of its last 21 games.

Estrada earned recognition on the AAC's Weekly Honor Roll after finishing her second 90-minute outing of year with five saves off 15 shots from Tennessee. Estrada has averaged 5.5 saves in SMU's first two matches.
