Tiara Young was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Young scored the third-most points in SMU history and earned her first double-double of the season with a career-high 38 points and 15 rebounds in the Mustangs' double-overtime victory at Memphis. She finished off the week totaling 32 points on Sunday against UAB. Young added six rebounds, two steals, and an assist against the Blazers. Young averaged 35 points last week and earned AAC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
