SMU has a loaded slate this season, facing off against nine programs ranked in both polls. Including SMU, 11 ACC programs were either ranked or received votes in one of the polls in the preseason.

RETURNING TO THE HILLTOP
SMU returns three All-American swimmers from last season. Graduate student Jack Hoagland picked up All-America honors in the 500 free, 1650 free, 400 IM and 800 free relay last season. Joining him on the 800 free relay was graduate student Chris Mykkanen and junior Jack Forrest.

HIGH-LEVEL DIVING IN DALLAS
Freshman diver Luke Sitz has earned back-to-back ACC Diver of the Week accolades. In his first collegiate meet, Sitz recorded two wins and two NCAA zone standard scores during the SMU Classic. He continued his success during the double dual against OCU and UIW, when he re-upped his top scores for the season.

MUSTANGS REACHING NCAA STANDARDS
During the SMU Classic, Jack Hoagland and Luke Sitz both achieved NCAA standards. Hoagland earned 'B' cut times in the 400 IM and 500 free, while Sitz achieved zone standards on 1-meter and 3-meter.

INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS
Following the first two meets of the season, the Mustangs have 13 swimmers ranked in the top-10 of an individual event. In addition, six sit in the top-20 nationally.

LASZLO IN THE RECORD BOOK
Freshman Laszlo Galicz threw down the third fastest time in program history in the 1000 free during his SMU debut against OCU and UIW.
