SMU Wins 10 Events, Takes Down TCU And Arkansas

DALLAS (SMU) - SMU Women's Swimming & Diving recorded 10 wins as the Mustangs defeated Arkansas and TCU at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center, Saturday.

The Mustangs made four program all-time top 10 performances and five NCAA Standards times.

Notable Results
200 Medley Relay

SMU's quartet of Jimena Leal, Isabella Krantzcke, Isabella Bedoya and Madison Parker placed third with a time of 1:41.52.

The Mustangs' squad of Rachel Anderson, Hannah Lockyer, Tiffanie Ruan and Madeleine Hebert clocked a time of 1:43.95 to place fifth.

1650 Free
Mira Szimcsak grabbed SMU's first victory of the day in the 1650 free with a time of 16:37.03.

200 Free
SMU swept the top three finishes in the 200 free as Summer Osborne claimed victory with a time of 1:47.28, Madeleine Hebert finished runner-up in 1:48.03 and Teia Salvino threw down 1:48.14 to complete the podium sweep.

100 Back
Jimena Leal claimed victory by touching the wall in 53.93 and Rachel Anderson placed third with a time of 54.93.

Olivia Lind clocked 57.35 to place ninth while Lauren Priest placed 12th with a time of 58.44

100 Breast
Isabella Krantzcke clocked 1:01.99 to place fourth in the 100 Breast while Hannah Lockyer touched the wall in 1:06.24 to place eighth.

200 Fly
Mira Szimcsak claimed her second victory of the day by clocking a personal best time of 2:00.43 and Carlotta Scarpitti placed third with a time of 2:01.48.

50 Free
Madison Parker placed second in the 50 Free with a time of 22.52, earning an NCAA B Cut Standard and clocking the eighth fastest time in program history. Teia Salvino followed in third place with a 23.07 mark and Tiffanie Ruan in fourth place by clocking 23.34.

Lauren Priest placed 12th with a time of 25.06.

Platform Diving
Jaclynn Fowler placed fifth by scoring 209.80, followed by Sadie Klepfer with 207.45 in sixth place, Reagan Evans in seventh place with 207.25, Natalie Stubbs at eighth with 201.25 and Ava Anderson in ninth place with 196.90 points.

100 Free
Madison Parker claimed her first event win of the day with the 10th fastest time in program history (48.87). Summer Osborne placed third with a time of 49.79, followed by Isabella Bedoya who threw down 50.34 to place fourth.

200 Back
Jimena Leal grabbed her second event win of the day in the 200 Back by clocking the ninth fastest time in program history (1:56.66). Rachel Anderson placed runner-up, also with a program top-10 time of 1:56.69. Leal and Anderson earned NCAA B Cut standards.

Lauren Priest placed ninth with a time of 2:05.62, followed by Olivia Lind, who finished 11th by clocking 2:07.95.

200 Breast
Isabella Krantzcke placed second in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:14.06 while Hannah Lockyer clocked 2:24.51 to finish eighth.

500 Free
Mira Szimcsak won her third event of the day with a 4:50.48 mark, followed by Madeleine Hebert who threw down 4:51.70 to finish runner-up.

Summer Osborne placed ninth with a time of 5:05.02.

100 Fly
Teia Salvino won the 100 Fly by throwing down 53.80 while Jimena Leal placed sixth with a time of 54.93.

Isabella Bedoya clocked 56.12 to place ninth and Tiffanie Ruan placed 10th in 56.50.

Team Diving
SMU's diving squad placed third with a total score of 265.70 in their first team diving event of the season.

400 IM
Rachel Anderson claimed her first victory of the day in the 400 IM with a time of 4:18.78 while Carlotta Scarpitti placed fifth by clocking 4:24.20.

400 Free Relay
The Mustangs closed the meet on top as SMU's quartet of Madison Parker, Summer Osborne, Isabella Bedoya and Teia Salvino won the event with a time of 3:18.32.

SMU's squad of Madeleine Hebert, Mira Szimcsak, Isabella Krantzcke and Tiffanie Ruan threw down 3:22.44 to place third.

What's Next?
SMU will return to the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center to host Rice on Nov. 9.
