Mustangs Earn NCAA Standards On SMU Invite Day Three

DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Women's Swimming & Diving saw fourth program all-time top 10 performances and six NCAA Standards on day three of the SMU Invite, Friday.

Notable Results
3-Meter Diving

Jaclynn Fowler placed third on 3-meter finals with an NCAA Zones Qualifying performance of 295.10 points, while Reagan Evans placed 10th with 247.80 points.

Sadie Klepfer was 13th in the prelims with a score of 237.75, while Ava Andersen placed 18th with a score of 212.30.

400 IM
Mustangs take the one-two finish in the 400 IM, with Mira Szimcsak grabbing victory with an NCAA B Cut time of 4:10.49. Rachel Anderson placed runner-up by clocking 4:10.77, also making the NCAA B Cut.

Carlotta Scarpitti placed fourth with a time of 4:19.22.

Szimcsak became the third fastest 400 IM performer in program history while Anderson is the fourth.

200 Free
Madison Parker finished runner-up with an NCAA B Cut time of 1:46.64 while Madeleine Hebert placed fourth with a time of 1:47.47. Summer Osborne followed close by throwing down 1:48.05 to place fifth.

100 Breast
Isabella Krantzcke threw down 1:01.62 to place fifth in the 100 Breast.

100 Back
The Mustangs earned another one-two finish as Jimena Leal improved his personal best time to 53.39 to win the event before Teia Salvino finished second with a time of 53.50. Leal is now tied as the sixth fastest 100 backstroker, while Salvino entered the program's all-time top 10 at seventh.

Olvia Lind placed 14th in the B final with a time of 56.72 while Lauren Priest placed 17th in the C final by swimming 58.06.

400 Medley Relay
SMU's team of Teia Salvino, Isabella Krantzcke, Jimena Leal and Madison Parker threw down 3:36.54 to finish runner-up.

What's Next?
SMU will conclude the SMU Invite on Saturday.
