Fifth-ranked SMU Equestrian is set for its second consecutive home meet when it faces No. 9 Baylor on Saturday at Dallas Equestrian Center.

The action is set to begin at 11 a.m., and admission is free.

In their first home meet of the season on October 25, the Mustangs dominated second-ranked TCU en route to a 15-4 victory. SMU also picked up all four MOPs in the win.

Baylor enters the meet fresh off an upset victory over eighth-ranked Fresno State to pick up its first win of the season. The victory also catapulted the Bears into the NCEA rankings for the first time this season, checking in at nine.

In the all-time series between the Bears and the Mustangs, Baylor boasts a 13-7 advantage. However, SMU has rattled off seven straight victories with the last meeting coming in 2023 during the NCEA Championships.

BACK TO BACK
The Mustangs are the defending back-to-back National Champions, marking the 10th national title for SMU Athletics. SMU is the third school to claim back-to-back national titles, joining Auburn and Georgia.

HORSEMANSHIP SWEEPS
SMU has been strong in horsemanship as of late, picking up two sweeps of the event in its last three meets. The Mustangs had a perfect 5-0 advantage in the event against No. 6 Georgia and No. 2 TCU. In addition, the Mustangs have earned Horsemanship MOPs in all five of the meets this season, with Nya Kearns leading the way with three.

STRONG START FOR ELLI
So far this season, senior Elli Yeager has posted a strong start to open up her campaign. She is 4-1 on the flat for the year with four MOP honors. In addition, she was tabbed Flat Rider of the Month for the month of October. She also tallied a MOP in fences during the season opener against TCU.

NYA CONTINUING TO BREAK RECORDS
Against Auburn, Nya Kearns eclipsed two milestones for her collegiate career. Her victory in horsemanship marked the 50th of her career, and her MOP in the event earned her the 25th honor of her career. Both numbers are SMU records, and she now has the most horsemanship MOPs in NCEA history.
