Parker Shines At Toyota US Open Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. (SMU) – SMU Women's Swimming & Diving wrapped its weekend at the Toyota US Open Championship at Greensboro Aquatic Center, Saturday.

Madison Parker highlighted the meet with two event wins and three NCAA Standard performances. She also improved her position in the program's all-time top-10 list in three events.

Mira Szimcsak placed ninth in the 500 Free with a time of 4:50.91.

200 IM
Teia Salvino placed sixth with a time of 2:00.36, while Isabella Krantzcke placed 25th in prelims by clocking 2:06.40.

50 Free
Madison Parker threw down 22.26 to win the event and became the third-fastest 50 Free swimmer in SMU history. Teia Salvino swam 23.26 to place 16th, Summer Osborne finished 22nd with a time of 23.38, while Isabella Bedoya clocked 23.41 to place 25th in the prelims.

400 IM
Mira Szimcsak earned the Mustangs their second podium finish of the weekend by placing third with a time of 4:13.22. Rachel Anderson swam a 4:18.26 time to place 10th.

Isabella Krantzcke placed 19th by touching the wall in 4:28.68.

100 Fly
Teia Salvino placed ninth in the 100 Fly with a time of 53.82.

200 Free
Madison Parker improved to fifth in the program's top 10 list by clocking 1:45.69 and placing fourth in the 200 Free.

Summer Osborne clocked a time of 1:51.36 to place 16th.

100 Breast
Isabella Krantzcke placed 18th with a time of 1:02.38.

200 Back
Rachel Anderson clocked a time of 1:57.62 to place 11th and Jimena Leal placed 29th with a time of 2:01.60.

100 Free
Madison Parker won her second event of the weekend and became the second fastest 100 Freestyler in program history with a time of 48.09. Teia Salvino placed ninth by touching the wall at 49.56, Summer Osborne was 19th (50.93) and Isabella Bedoya swam 51.20 to place 21st.

200 Breast
Isabella Krantzcke placed 11th in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:14.74.

What's Next?
The Mustangs return as a team in the new year, where the diving squad will open up 2025 at the Georgia Diving Invitational on January 3-5. The full team will return on January 11 to face top-ranked Texas in Austin.
