DALLAS, Texas (SMU) -- The Mustangs will be back on the track in Waco at Baylor's Clyde Hart Classic on Friday and Saturday this weekend after their season opener was canceled due to weather last weekend. Head Coach A'Havahla Haynes said their goal remains the same as it was for last week at TCU.Â
"Our goal is to have a solid season opener across all events and execute on changes necessary for improvement," Haynes said.Â
Before the meet was cut short last weekend, the Mustangs put out great season opener times, even a top-10 SMU time for Kirin Chacchia in the 100-meter hurdles. The Mustangs will look to bring that same energy to the track this weekend as they face athletes from Baylor, Eastern Michigan, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M-Commerce, Tarleton State, Texas Wesleyan and UT-Arlington.Â
Action will start on both days at 11 a.m.Â
