DALLAS, Texas (SMU) -- The Mustangs are in California this weekend to compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University and the Beach Invitational at Long Beach State. This is the second to last weekend of competition for SMU before championship season begins and the athletes are looking to seize every opportunity to move higher up on the performance lists.Â
"Our goal is to continue to see progress as individuals with outcomes that better position the team in the top-8 leaderboard for the American Conference come May," Head Coach A'Havahla Haynes said.Â
Currently, the Mustangs are ranked as ninth in the conference with several athletes on the leaderboard in various events. Action begins tonight at Azusa Pacific and on Saturday in Long Beach.Â
