Jill Zwart is set to join the Mustangs for the 2024-25 as an incoming freshman. Zwart hails from New Plymouth, New Zealand where she rowed for five seasons with Clifton Rowing Club.

- Winning my first heat in the U16 single at the 2020 Karapiro Christmas Regatta
Why did you choose to row for SMU?
- I really liked the coaches and loved the exciting vibe of SMU
What stuck out to you about the team in your decision-making process that made the decision feel right?
- I could tell how well the team got along and they were all super welcoming!
What did you love about Dallas when you visited?
- The hospitality and sunny weather!
What was something about SMU/Dallas that surprised you?
- That the fire hydrants look just like they do in the movies!
What impact do you plan to make in your first year?
- I plan to work hard to be the best version of myself to contribute to the overall success of the team
What are you most excited about for your freshman year?
- Meeting lots of new people and experiencing Texas!
What are you looking forward to doing most when you get to Dallas?
- Getting cowboy boots!

- North Island and New Zealand champion in the women's club double scull
- Bronze in the girls' U18 single scull at North Island Secondary School Championships
