KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – SMU signee
Luke Sitz is in third entering Sunday's 3-meter finals at the U.S. Diving Olympic Trials at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
The incoming freshman also placed fourth in the synchronized 3-meter with Maxwell Miller.
Sitz is a senior at Rock Hill High School in Prosper, Texas, where he is a two-time UIL 6A State Champion. He qualified for the Olympic Trials by finishing second at the USA Junior National Championship.
Sunday's final will be televised on NBC beginning at 1 p.m. CT. The top two will make the U.S. Olympic Team for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics (July 26 – August 11).
SMU also had
nine men's swimmers competing at the U.S. Swimming Olympic Team Trials this week in Indianapolis.
