SMU announced the addition of Agne Kubaityte to the 2024-25 incoming freshman class. Kubaityte hails from Kaunas, Lithuania where she rowed for six seasons at Kauno Sporto Mokykla Bangputys.

What is your favorite rowing memory?
    -Every race and every practice.

Why did you choose to row for SMU?
    -I loved the team, the strong athletic and academic programs of the university
 
What stuck out to you about the team in your decision-making process that made the decision feel right?
    - How welcomed I felt when I visited, that I saw myself being a part of smu.
 
What did you love about Dallas when you visited?
    -The campus of smu, the parts of the city we explored and the weather.
 
What was something about SMU/Dallas that surprised you?
    -How beautiful the campus is.

What impact do you plan to make in your first year?
    -To improve as much as I can, contribute to the team's success and always have a positive outlook.
    
What are you most excited about for your freshman year?
    - To start sweep rowing, meet the whole team, the begging of classes.
 
What are you looking forward to doing most when you get to Dallas?
    - Meeting all the girls from the team, going to class, exploring the city.
 
Top rowing accomplishments and placement?
    - Baltic Cup JW2x 2022 - 1st place,
     European u-19 Rowing Championships (both 4x)
            2022 -10th place, 2023 - 8th place
    Amber Oars Regatta 2023 JW2x - 1st place
    World Rowing u-19 Championship 2023 JW2x - 22nd place.
