DALLAS (SMU) — The SMU women's basketball team kicks off its season early as the Mustangs will cross the Atlantic for a 10-day international trip to Greece and Croatia from Aug 3-13 to play two games in Athens and Split.
In addition to the Mustang's first two stops in Athens and Split, the team will also explore Dubrovnik, Croatia, to conclude their trip.
Along the way, the travel party will visit historic sites in each city. Highlights will include a tour of Athens, visiting the Acropolis, a boat tour of the Adriatic Sea, exploring Krka National Park, and walking tours of both Dubrovnik and Split. The team will also take part in a youth clinic while in Dubrovnik.
The Mustangs are entering the fourth season under Head Coach

Chantae Embry and
TK Pitts, and added seven via the transfer portal.
Heading into SMU's first season in the ACC, the Mustang's 18-game conference schedule features home games only against California, Stanford, Clemson, NC State, North Carolina, Duke, Virginia, and Louisville and will play road games only versus Florida State, Miami, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Boston College. SMU's only conference opponent they will face twice is Pittsburgh.
