Get To Know The Newcomers: Mustangs Add 13 To 2024 Roster

SMU women's rowing program added 13 newcomers to the 2024 roster ahead of the team's inaugural season in the ACC.

Head Coach Chase Graham signed 16 freshman and four transfer athletes.

The Mustangs put an emphasis on strengthening team depth by seeking out athletes that competed at the top of their region with many going on to represent their home country at international regattas.

"We are excited to welcome this talented group of student-athletes at SMU. They will all make an immediate and transformative impact on our program as we pursue an ACC Championship and success at the NCAA Championships in years to come," said Graham. "All of these athletes spent their summer racing and training to better themselves so they would be well prepared to compete when they start this fall at SMU. These rowers are great at what they do in the boat, but they are also the type of teammates that we are looking to foster and grow as we strengthen our program. I'd like to thank assistant coaches Peyton Matthews, Tom Dougherty, and Vanja Obradovic as well as our current student athletes for their commitment to bringing in these future Mustangs. Pony up!"
