SMU rowing head coach
Chase Graham announced the additions of three assistant coaches, Max Greer, Gabby Krieger and Susanna Temming, to the 2024-25 rowing staff.

"I am thrilled to welcome Gabby, Max, and Susanne to the Hilltop", Graham said. "Each of them bring a unique set of skills and experience that will be a valuable resource to our staff and student-athletes. Aside from offering their backgrounds in racing at the highest levels of the NCAA, they are all great people and will serve as positive role models for all that get to work with them."

Gabby Krieger joins the Mustang staff after spending the last two seasons at USC. She and the Trojans finished top five at the Pac 12 Championship the last two seasons and she's coached two all-conference athletes. USC earned a bid to the NCAA Championship in 2023 where they finished in 16th place. Before USC, she spent a season as an Assistant Coach at North Carolina. Prior to UNC, she competed from 2016-2021 at University of Alabama where she helped the Crimson Tide to their first ever NCAA Championship appearance in 2021. She graduated from Alabama with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science and eventually earned a Master of Science in Sports Management.

Max Greer comes to SMU from Nashville Rowing where he was the Adult Program Director and an Assistant Coach with the junior men and women. In Nashville, he coached over 200 athletes with a wide range of ages and varying levels of experience. While at Nashville Rowing, he was also a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Vanderbilt University. He served the women's varsity squad that won the Women's Collegiate 4+ at the 2023 Head of the Charles Regatta and were the eventual 2024 ACRA National Champions in the Women's Varsity 8+. Max is a US Rowing Level II Certified Coach. Greer received his bachelor's in art history and communications from Loyola University Maryland in 2023, where he was a five-year varsity rower. He served as team captain in his final year, leading the Greyhounds to all-time program best finishes at the Dad Vail Regatta.Â

Susanna Temming comes to SMU after spending a year as an Assistant Coach for the Junior Men's program at Texas Rowing Center. A native of The Netherlands, Temming competed collegiately at the University of Texas. She competed for four seasons with the Longhorns and was a part of two national championship teams. Temming was a nine-time member of the Big 12 Commissioners Honor Roll. She was a two-time recipient of Academic Provost Award (4.0 GPA For Semester) and was named a CRCA National Scholar Athlete twice. Temming graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Educational Psychology in May of 2023. She also competed with the Dutch National Rowing Team winning a Silver medal at the U23 World Rowing Championships in 2021, a Bronze medal at the U23 European Rowing Championships in 2020, and a Bronze medal at the U19 Junior World Rowing Championships in 2018. She is a four-time Dutch National Champion. Â
