CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com/SMU) – For the second consecutive week, SMU senior setter
Averi Carlson was named ACC Setter of the Week on Monday. It is the fifth time Carlson has been given the nod this season.
Carlson led the Mustangs to their sixth straight victory with wins on the road against No. 4 Louisville and Notre Dame over the weekend.
In the five-setter against Louisville, Carlson had 54 assists, tied her career-high with 16 digs and added three kills.
At Notre Dame on Sunday, Carlson had 36 assists, eight digs and two kills. The Mustangs hit a season-high .388 in that match.
Carlson currently ranks third nationally in assists per set (11.17) and sixth in total assists (793), leading the ACC in both categories.
