DALLAS (SMU) – The NCAA DI women's volleyball committee announced SMU Volleyball as No. 5 in its in-season top 16 rankings Sunday.
The Mustangs are one of four ACC teams to make the rankings and have wins over two of the 16 teams selected by the committee.
All matches through Saturday, Oct. 18, were under consideration when determining the rankings. The committee looked at the 64 teams and considered several criteria to determine their rankings, including strength of schedule, top 10 wins and head-to-head competition.
The in-season reveal offers fans an early look at potential NCAA tournament seedings ahead of Selection Sunday on Nov. 30.
