CHARLOTTE, N.C. (ACC/SMU) – SMU Women's Swimming and Diving's
Macey Oppliger and
Summer Osborne have been named Atlantic Coast Conference Performers of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
The Mustangs swept the ACC weekly honors following their quad meet sweep against UNT, UIW and Oklahoma Christian on Friday.
Oppliger earned her first ACC honors after her first collegiate meet against UNT, UIW and Oklahoma Christian where she won the 3-meter while earning an NCAA Zone Cut with a score of 300.15.
Osborne won the 100 free, 200 free and anchored SMU's winning 400 free relay in Friday's quad meet against UNT, UIW and Oklahoma Christian.
The Auckland, New Zealand, native currently holds the fastest 200 free time (1:47.02) in the country after week two of college swimming and diving.
These awards are the program's first ACC weekly honors.
Oppliger and Osborne will return to action at Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center as the Mustangs host the SMU Classic on Friday and Saturday.
The SMU Classic will feature swimmers and divers from Louisville, Auburn, Drury and LSU.
