BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas (SMU) – Members of the SMU men's swimming & diving team concluded action at the Texas A&M Last Chance Meet on Saturday evening at Rec Center Natatorium.
 
The three-day meet began on Thursday morning for the Mustangs. The meet was the first competition following the Mustangs' inaugural appearance at the ACC Championships and is the first of two last chance meets for SMU, with the other being next Thursday-Saturday at Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center.
 
The two competitions are the final opportunities for swimmers to reach NCAA Championships qualifying marks.

THURSDAY NOTABLE RESULTS
500 Free
Hunter Lund recorded his best time in the event during finals on Thursday evening, touching the wall in 4:26.85.
 
200 IM
Leading the way in the event was Asher Good, who finished in 1:46.35 during finals of the event. Ben Longeway was the second-fastest Mustang, touching the wall in 1:49.97. Also competing in the event was Kaleb Ikbal (1:49.23) and Joe Umhofer (1:53.47).
 
50 Free
The four fastest Ponies in the event were Cameron Thompson (20.11), Leif Bouwman (20.38), Connor McClintic (20.40) and Eli Likins (20.50).
 
Graham Hohnbaum only competed in the morning session, finishing in 21.14. Also during prelims, Ewan Lonergan posted his fastest time of the day, touching the wall in 21.70.
 
During a time trial on Friday, Joe Umhofer earned a time of 22.01.
 
FRIDAY NOTABLE RESULTS
100 Fly
Ryan Peckham had the best time of the day for SMU during prelims, finishing in 48.04. In finals, Kaleb Ikbal saw a time of 48.12. Also in finals, Cameron Thompson touched the wall in 48.82 while Ben Longeway finished in 49.23.
 
In a time trial on Thursday, Louie Fasani recorded a mark of 48.92 in the event, while Graham Hohnbaum touched the wall in 48.36. A time trial on Saturday saw Leif Bouwman finish in 48.26.
 
400 IM
Hunter Lund touched the wall in 3:50.83 during finals. Asher Good recorded his best mark during the morning session with a time of 3:54.18.
 
200 Free
Leif Bouwman (1:36.46), Eli Likins (1:36.81) and Graham Hohnbaum (1:37.07) all recorded their fastest times during the finals of the event. In prelims, Michael Ripper had a mark of 1:38.88 to have his fastest mark of the day.
 
100 Breast
Joe Umhofer (55.96) and Ewan Lonergan (56.64) recorded their fastest mark during prelims.
 
100 Back
Louie Fasani touched the wall in 48.63 during the evening session.
 
SATURDAY NOTABLE RESULTS
200 Back
In finals, Asher Good touched the wall in 1:43.60 to record the best time for SMU in the event. Louie Fasani saw his fastest mark in prelims, earning a time of 1:46.60.
 
Good's time was his first NCAA 'B' standard of the season. His mark also moved him up to eighth on SMU's All-Time Top Performers list.
 
100 Free
Eli Likins led the Mustangs in finals with a time of 43.73. Also in finals were Kaleb Ikbal (44.44), Cameron Thompson (44.67), Graham Hohnbaum (44.97) and Connor McClintic (45.04).
 
Competing in only prelims were Leif Bouwman (44.83) and Michael Ripper (45.62).
 
200 Breast
Ewan Lonergan saw a 1:59.93 time during prelims to post the best Mustang mark of the day. Joe Umhofer added a mark of 2:00.67 during the finals.
 
200 Fly
Ryan Peckham had the best time of the day for the Mustangs during prelims, touching the wall in 1:46.30. During finals, Hunter Lund (1:47.40) and Ben Longeway (1:49.71) both recorded their fastest marks of the day.
 
200 Medley Relay
In a time trial of the relay event, the Mustangs team of Graham Hohnbaum, Kaleb Ikbal, Ryan Peckham and Connor McClintic touched the wall in 1:30.32. The squad of Louie Fasani, Joe Umhofer, Ben Longeway and Cameron Thompson finished in 1:30.63.
