BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (SMU) – SMU men's golf holds fourth place after one round of the ACC Championship from The Club at Olde Stone.
Competing in the program's first ACC Men's Golf Championship, the Mustangs started strong with a round of four under par. Against a field that includes six top 25 teams, three Mustangs were par or better on the day. The team sits six shots back of first place Virginia. SMU was the best team on the par fours during the round, playing those holes even par. The top eight teams at the end of three days of stroke play make the match play quarterfinals.
Will Sides led the Mustangs with a three-under 69. He sits alone in fifth, two shots back of first place Bryan Lee of Virginia. He began the day with a 33 on the par 36 front nine. Sides' season average is down to 70.89, tied for the team lead.

Enrique Dimayuga. In a nine-way tie for sixth place, Dimayuga birdied four of five holes from No. 6 to No. 10. He eagled the 572 yard par five, 18
th hole to bring him from even par to two-under 70.
Zachary Kingsland shot a 72 during the opening round. He carded even par on both sides. KIngsland birdied his last hole to bring him to even par for the round. He holds a share of 25
th.

rd sits sophomore
Areen Aggarwal. He carded a 73 with just two bogeys, playing his first nine holes bogey-free. One shot back of Aggarwal,
Matthew Foster carded a 74.
The Mustangs return for day two from Olde Stone paired alongside Wake Forest and Cal. The round begins at 8:22 a.m. CT.
