DALLAS (SMU) – SMU players Isaiah Nwokobia and Collin Rogers highlighted the Mustangs named to the Athlon Preseason All-America/All-ACC teams for the upcoming year on Tuesday.  
 
The duo earned preseason All-America honors as part of Athlon Sports' 2025 Preseason ACC All-Conference and All-America teams in a release that included 14 Mustangs that were named to one of the preseason ACC All-Conference teams
 
Nwokobia was selected to the All-America Third Team and Rogers to the fourth team. Nwokobia continues to add to his preseason accolades, being named to his third preseason All-America team by various publications.
 
Rogers set the program's all-time scoring record last year for SMU, breaking the record held by Doak Walker, Eric Dickerson, and Xavier Jones.
 
Also joining Nwokobia and Rogers on the first team were PJ Williams on offense and Ahmaad Moses on defense.
 
The second team consisted of Jordan Hudson, RJ Maryland and Logan Parr, all of whom were selected to the second team of the Phil Steele publication back in June.
 
Kevin Jennings earned a spot on the third team after his breakout year in 2024 on offense and Cameron Robertson on defense.
 
A trio of defenders earned fourth-team honors in Deuce Harmon, Alexander Kilgore and Isaiah Smith, while Addison Nichols was picked to the offensive side. Chris Johnson Jr. was selected to the fourth team as a specialist.
 
An important note on the All-America teams: These selections are based on how players will perform in 2025. Career statistics and previous awards matter in player evaluation, but choosing players for the 2025 All-America team and all-conference teams is largely based on predicting and projecting the upcoming year.
