DALLAS, Texas (SMU) — Caden Norris has been named to SMU's Cross Country and Track and Field Staff and will serve in the role of Distance Operations/Recruiting. Norris comes to SMU after graduating from Texas A&M University as an All-American student-athlete.

Norris brings to the table an outstanding track and field career having been named to the All-SEC First Team in 2025, earning All-American honors in 2024, and being part of conference championship squads both in relays and team titles. His personal best in the 800 stands at 1:47.13.

"I am excited to welcome Caden to our staff," Head Coach 'A Havahla Haynes said. "As a former athlete with outstanding personal bests and both individual and team championships to his name, he brings firsthand experience of competing at the highest level. I know he will channel the same commitment and standard of excellence to support our program behind the scenes."

Norris is a Texas native, originally from Midland.
