WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (SMU) - SMU sits in ninth place after two rounds of the Southwestern Invitational hosted by Pepperdine.

The Mustangs came into the day in a tie for third place but fell to ninth after shooting 18-over during round two. The field includes all 13 teams ranked in the top 100 and eight teams ranked in the top 50. The Mustangs remain ahead of No. 21 UCLA.

Gabe Post leads the Mustangs with a 72 on Tuesday. He sits in a share for 14
th place. Post birdied four of six holes to start his day. He had his best collegiate round on Monday with a 69.

Will Sides posted a 73 during round two to go along with his 69 in round one. He shot a 35 on his first nine holes to come in at one under par. He holds a share of 20
th place.

Zachary Kingsland carded a 74 on Tuesday. He started his day three-under through his first three holes, thanks to a birdie on his first hole (the 10
th hole) and an eagle on his third (the 12
th hole). Kingsland finds himself at seven over and in 42
nd place.

Christian Clark sits in a tie for 63
rd place while
Matthew Foster holds 65
th.

The Mustangs return to North Ranch Country Club for the final round on Wednesday.
