DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU women's tennis team took down Arizona (3-2) 4-0 at home for its third victory of the season on Saturday morning. The Mustangs improved to 3-1 on the year and in the first season under head coach McKenna.   

SMU controlled all three courts en route to a quick doubles victory. Caroline McGinley and Amelie Van Impe collected the first doubles win, defeating Martyna Ostrzygalo and Danielle Tuhten from Arizona 6-1. Natalie Stasny and Sophie Llewellyn clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win on court three. The duo improved to 3-0 together in the spring season.   

The Mustangs won three straight in singles to round out the sweep. No. 46 Sophie Llewellyn made quick work on court three, defeating Arizona's Josie Usereau 6-0, 6-2. On a match-winning ace, Amelie Van Impe defeated her Wildcat opponent 6-4, 6-2, to put the Mustangs up 3-0. Gina Feistel secured the win for SMU with a 6-3, 6-1 win on court one. Van Impe and Feistel earned their first singles victories as Mustangs.
