th place led by senior
Will Sides who holds 11th place individually at the Prestige.
The Mustangs played the early round during round one of the tournament on Monday at PGA West Golf Course. Facing a field of 24 teams including eight top 50 teams, the Mustangs shot 10-over to sit in a tie for 15
th. The team stands ahead of two ranked teams in No. 25 Wake Forest and No. 46 Colorado. SMU is four shots back of a spot in the top 10.
Sides continued his hot spring with a one-under round on Monday. He started with a birdie on his way to a 70 score. He occupies 11
th place after round one.
A pair of Mustang freshmen share 55
th place.
Ben Steinmann and
Mason Lewis both shot 74 during the first day of the tournament. Lewis shot a 36, even par, on the back nine to highlight his round. Steinman carded just three bogeys on his day.
Gabe Post holds a share of 86
th at five over par. He birdied four times during his round.
Zachary Kingsland sits in 94
th with an opening round 77.
Two Mustangs are taking part in the Prestige Individual tournament over at Terra Lago Golf Course.
Andrew Petruzzelli sits in the top 10 after a 73 on Monday. He birdied two of his final four holes to move from three over to one over.
Areen Aggarwal shot an 82 to occupy 44
th.
The Mustangs return to the course for round two on Tuesday. The team tees off a 1:55 pm CT / 11:55 am PT paired alongside golfers from Kansas State and Little Rock.
