LA QUINTA, Calif. (SMU) – SMU men's golf sits in 21^st place after two rounds of the Prestige from PGA West.
 
Playing the late round in the day, The Mustangs came into the day in 15^th place and moved up the leaderboard early. The Mustangs pulled off a flurry of early birdies but struggles near the end of round two pushed the Mustangs back into 21^st against a field that includes eight ranked teams.
 
Will Sides and Gabe Post lead the Mustangs in a share of 66^th place. Post moved up 20 spots on the day. He shot a 33 on his first nine holes before closing with a 41. Sides birdied his final hole to stand at eight over par through two rounds thanks to a 70 on Monday.

Ben Steinmann occupies 86^th place after a seven-over day. He shot 35 on his first nine holes. Mason Lewis sits in a tie for 94^th place after a 79 on Tuesday. Zachary Kingsland played his first 15 holes bogey-free with four birdies before a tough last three holes.  He holds a share of 105^th.
 
Over at the Individual tournament happening at Terra Lago golf course, Andrew Petruzzelli sits in a tie for 14^th after a 4-over day. Areen Aggarwal carded a 78 to hold a share of 42^nd.
 
The Mustangs return to the course for the conclusion of the Prestige on Wednesday. They will be paired alongside golfers from Clemson and UC Davis with the round starting at 1:55 pm CT / 11:55 am PT.
