DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Men's Tennis swept its doubleheader against Oral Roberts and UTSA at Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Sunday.
 
The Mustangs dominated singles play against Oral Roberts after dropping the doubles point. They won four back-to-back singles matches from Georgi Georgiev, Meethre Barot, Jerry Barton and Krish Arora to clinch the match at 4-1.
 
In the afternoon, SMU swept UTSA 7-0, winning every match in straight sets. The Mustangs won five 6-0 sets against the Roadrunners.
 
Georgiev and Barot recorded their first double bagel (6-0, 6-0) matches of the season.
 
Georgiev improved to 7-2 in singles play, while Jerry Barton is now 10-1 in singles matches this season. Barton is the first Mustang to have 10 or more wins this season.
 
Trevor Svajda remains undefeated without dropping a set as he improved his singles record to 9-0 this season.
 
SMU will enter its second Atlantic Coast Conference campaign with an 8-5 record after winning three matches over the weekend.

The Mustangs drop the doubles point despite a bagel win from Trevor Svajda and Meethre Barot (6-0) on court one.
 
Oral Roberts' doubles pairs of Ricardo Filho / Lucas Couy and Rodrigo Guijarro / Jack Berry won courts two and three to clinch the point.
 
Georgi Georgiev did not give up a single game, winning his match quickly against Rodrigo Guijarro on court two 6-0, 6-0.
 
Jerry Barton took the lead for SMU on court four by winning his match against Pijus Reklevicius (6-0, 6-1).
 
Meethre Barot recorded his second singles win for SMU by defeating Jack Berry 6-3, 6-1 on court five before Krish Arora clinched the match at 4-1 for SMU with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Luis Marcos Bonifasi on court three.

SMU showed its dominance from the beginning of the match against Roadrunners.
 
Trevor Svajda and Jerry Barton won their doubles match against Timeo Bretin and Constantin Radu on court one 6-3 before Georgi Georgiev and Vikas Deo clinched the doubles point on court three by defeating Ben Chetewy Ungar and Maximilian Ontiveros 6-3.
 
The Mustangs' dominance resumed in singles play, as Meethre Barot defeated Yonatan Sagiv 6-0, 6-0 on court five.
 
Georgiev won his match on court two 6-0, 6-0 and Jerry Barton clinched the match at 4-0 for SMU with a 6-3, 6-0 win on court four.
 
The Mustangs won all the remaining singles matches in straight sets.
