CHARLOTTE, N.C. (ACC/SMU) — SMU Men's Tennis junior Trevor Svajda has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
 
Svajda resumes his dominant streak by winning both of his singles matches in straight sets on the weekend. He defeated TCU's No. 6 Duncan Chan (6-4, 6-1) on Saturday before claiming victory over Tulsa's Nikita Volonski (6-1, 6-2) on Sunday.
 
The California native has won all five of his singles matches this spring. He has not dropped a single set in all five matches.
 
Svajda has two ranked wins to start the spring season. Aside from Chan, he has a win over Mississippi State's No. 54 Benito Sanchez Martinez (6-2, 6-3) in the season opener.
 
What's next?
The Mustangs await draws for the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. They will host the tournament from Feb. 13-17.

Svajda is set to take on the Dallas Open at The Star in Frisco next week.
