AUSTIN, Texas (SMU) – No. 32 SMU Men's Tennis is set to take on No. 37 Princeton in the first round of the NCAA Championship in Austin, Texas, on Friday.
The match will begin at 10 am CT at the Texas Tennis Center. It will be relocated to the indoor courts at Weller Tennis Center in the event of inclement weather.
This will be SMU's fourth NCAA tournament appearance in the past five years.
NCAA Championship Return
- The Mustangs were selected to take on No. 37 Princeton at No. 2 overall seed Texas following their 19-10 regular season campaign.
- SMU returns to the tournament for the fourth time in the last five years. In 2024, the Mustangs fell to Stanford in the first round of the tournament in Norman, Oklahoma.
- On the other side of the Texas regional bracket is Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, facing the Longhorns.
- The last time SMU played an NCAA Championship match in Austin, Texas, was in 2022 against LSU. Assistant coach Kent Hunter was a player on that LSU team.
