DALLAS (SMU) – Four SMU Men's Soccer student-athletes were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
 
Vikas Deo, Georgi Georgiev, Noah McDonald and Trevor Svajda were the Mustangs named to the list.  The 2026 Academic All-District Team is selected by the College Sports Communicators and recognizes the nation's top student athletes for their combined academic and athletic achievements.

Deo maintains a 3.981 GPA as a Computer Science senior. The Carrollton, Texas, native made 32 appearances and is a mainstay in the Mustangs' doubles lineup. He has a 17-11 doubles record through the spring and was 13-6 with his main doubles partner, Georgiev. This is Deo's second CSC Academic All-District award after winning the honor last season.

A native of Svilengrad, Bulgaria, Georgiev has a 3.809 GPA in Real Estate. The sophomore holds SMU's third line in singles and has 17 singles wins in the spring, including three ranked wins. He was named ACC Player of the Week on March 10 and is 13-6 in doubles play with Deo.

McDonald is a sophomore with an Economics with Financial Applications major, maintaining a 3.753 GPA. The Charlotte, N.C., native is SMU's main line six singles player with a 12-10 record through the spring. He clinched SMU's first NCAA Championship match win since 2016.

NCAA Singles Championship Runner-up Svajda earned the academic honor after maintaining a 3.579 GPA while studying Sport Management. The junior San Diego native racked 21 singles wins through the spring and a total of 32 wins through the fall and spring. He has 17 ranked players through the season and was named First Team All-ACC Singles.
