Volleyball Will Face Penn State In Spikes Under The Lights Semifinal Matchup

DALLAS (SMU/Full Day Productions & GSE Worldwide) - SMU Volleyball will face Penn State in its semifinal matchup at the Spikes Under the Lights women's college volleyball showcase on Thursday, August 27, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, it was announced Tuesday by Full Day Productions and GSE Worldwide. Â
The matchup will follow the first semifinal of the day between Nebraska and Florida, which starts at 7 p.m. CT. The winners of each semifinal matchup will go on to play in the final later Thursday night. Â
Each match will be played as a best-of-three-set match, with the first two sets played to 21 points and, if needed, the third set to 15. Â
The three-hour event will air live in primetime on a major national network, placing women's college volleyball on one of the largest stages in sports and entertainment. Â
Spikes Under the Lights will mark a historic milestone as the first women's college sporting event to be staged at AT&T Stadium, and one of the first women's sporting events of any kind to take place in an NFL venue.  Â
