DALLAS (SMU/Full Day Productions & GSE Worldwide) - SMU Volleyball will face Penn State in its semifinal matchup at the Spikes Under the Lights women's college volleyball showcase on Thursday, August 27, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, it was announced Tuesday by Full Day Productions and GSE Worldwide.  

The matchup will follow the first semifinal of the day between Nebraska and Florida, which starts at 7 p.m. CT. The winners of each semifinal matchup will go on to play in the final later Thursday night.  

Each match will be played as a best-of-three-set match, with the first two sets played to 21 points and, if needed, the third set to 15.  

The three-hour event will air live in primetime on a major national network, placing women's college volleyball on one of the largest stages in sports and entertainment.  

Spikes Under the Lights will mark a historic milestone as the first women's college sporting event to be staged at AT&T Stadium, and one of the first women's sporting events of any kind to take place in an NFL venue.
