DALLAS (SMU) – The (rv) SMU women's soccer program continues its seven-game homestand by hosting Incarnate Word on Sunday inside Washburne Stadium.
The game will kick off at 7 pm CT. Fans can enjoy free admission to all SMU women's soccer regular season matches. Sunday's game will air on ACCNX, and fans can also follow along via live stats found

SMU has yet to allow a goal at home this season after posting back-to-back shutouts against North Texas (W, 2-0) and Boise State (T, 0-0). Libby Janereth is tied for the team lead in total points (3) after scoring her first career goal against UNT, while
Julianne Richter leads SMU in assists with three after a two-assist game against UNT.
SMU received votes in the latest IWSOC / United Soccer Coaches Poll. It's the first time since 2022 that the Mustangs have been ranked or received votes in the poll.
The Mustangs added 17 newcomers to their 2026 roster, 10 freshmen and seven transfers. Head coach
Nicole Nelson also brought in two new assistant coaches,
Chassion Griggs and former SMU graduate assistant and men's soccer player
Nick Petrucelli.
SMU returned 10 players, including midfielder
Brooke Bunton, who was called up to the USWYNT U-18 team five times during the offseason and
Libby Jannereth, who was picked by TopDrawerSoccer as SMU's ACC Breakout Candidate this season.
This season will mark the 41st year of women's soccer on the Hilltop and the fifth under head coach
Nicole Nelson. The Mustangs are 23-11-5 at home under Nelson.
// SETTING THE SCENE
- Sunday's match will be the first time SMU and UIW have faced each other.
- Entering the game having yet to allow a goal at home, a shutout against UIW would mark the first time since 2019 that the Mustangs have recorded three straight shutouts.
- The Mustangs rank third the ACC in saves per game (3.33), sixth in shot accuracy (0.469) and eighth in total assists (5). SMU has had four players score a goal this season, while Kaylee Noble leads SMU in total shots with five.

- SMU recorded its second shutout in a row after drawing Boise State 0-0 on Thursday.Â
- Both teams endured the triple-digit kickoff departure and generated quality looks throughout the contest, but strong goalkeeping on both sides kept the match even.Â
- Aubrey Brown led the charge on defense, recording five saves on 12 shots faced.Â
