ST. LOUIS (SMU) – No. 15 SMU Men's Soccer hits the road to take on No. 4 Saint Louis for a ranked matchup in St. Louis, Mo., on Monday.

The match will kick off at 7 pm CT, and it will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Mustangs are coming off a dominant 3-1 win at home against Stetson in their season-opener on Thursday.

Mustangs vs. Billikens History

• This match will be the 41st meeting between the Mustangs and the Billikens. It is SMU's second-longest series in program history, behind its series against Tulsa (54).
• The Mustangs lead the series 18-15-7. The series is tied 9-9-2 in St. Louis.
• The last time the two sides met as ranked teams was in 2021, when No. 8 SMU tied No. 23 Saint Louis 1-1 at Washburne Stadium.
• SMU fell 1-0 against the Billikens in St. Louis last season.

Going into the 2026 Season

• SMU returns seven regular starters out of the 2025 starting eleven.

• No. 15 SMU took down Stetson 3-1 in its season-opener at Washburne Stadium on Thursday.
• The Mustangs' two goals in the first half came from Jaylinn Mitchell and Stephan Soghomonian. Enzo Panozzo scored early in the second half with an assist from Mitchell before the Hatters reduced their deficit in the final minute of the match.
• In a dominant showing, SMU had 60% of ball possession while out-shooting Stetson 13 to seven.
• The Mustangs are undefeated in season-openers in the last eight seasons.
• Stephan Soghomonian scored his 15th career goal. He has scored five goals in the last six matches.

• SMU was ranked No. 15 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll and was picked No. 4 in the Preseason ACC Poll.

• SMU's 2026 squad consists of 17 returners and 15 newcomers.

ACC Championship Title Run

• The Mustangs came into the ACC Championship as the No. 7 seed and defeated Wake Forest, Stanford, Syracuse and Virginia to win SMU's first ACC Championship title.
• Slade Starnes was named ACC tournament MVP. Stephan Soghomonian, Ryan Clanton-Pimentel and Martin Dominguez were included in the all-tournament team.

2025 Season Notes

• The 2025 season marked the fourth consecutive season the Mustangs have earned a national seed and a first-round bye.

• SMU heads into its 37th NCAA tournament appearance after winning the university's first ACC title on Sunday.

Scouting Saint Louis

• No. 4 Saint Louis opened the season with a 4-0 win at home against Seattle U.
• Four Billikens made the scoresheet. Andrew Heckenlaible recorded one goal and an assist.
• Saint Louis was picked No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason ranking following its College Cup run in 2025. The Billikens fell 2-1 in the NCAA Championship semifinal to NC State.
