DALLAS (SMU) – No. 5 SMU Volleyball (8-2) ran past Yale (6-2) Saturday in Moody, collecting its second straight sweep with set scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-21.

The win marks SMU's 13th straight victory inside Moody Coliseum, the longest streak in program history.

SMU closes out the non-conference portion of the 2026 slate 8-2.

SMU hit a season-best .326 against Yale and held the Bulldogs to .091, the lowest opponent hitting percentage the Mustangs have allowed this season.

Natalia Newsome and Suli Davis tied for the team lead in kills with nine each. Newsome hit .571 on her swings, increasing her season hitting percentage to an ACC-leading .524 clip.

The Mustangs out-dug the Bulldogs 37-28, led by Victoria Harris with 11. Sarah Frazee logged a career-high 10 digs.

MATCH NOTES:

The match was the first-ever meeting between the Mustangs and Bulldogs
The first set score of 25-14 was the most dominant set for SMU this season.
SMU is 50-0 under Coach Erger when hitting .300 or better.
Since Coach Erger took over on the Hilltop, the Mustangs have held opponents to under a .100 hitting percentage 27 times.
Favor Anyanwu logged 3 aces in the match, her second straight outing with 3+ aces.
