Flores, Markovic Wrap Weekend At Chowderfest Tournament

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (SMU) - SMU Men's Tennis newcomers, Sasa Markovic and Luis Flores, wrapped up competition at the Chowderfest tournament at Harvard to open the Mustangs' fall season over the weekend.
Flores made his college debut, going 3-1 in singles play in Cambridge, claiming notable wins against Virginia Tech's Gevorg Mnatsakanyan (6-4, 6-2) and Illinois' Colson Wells (6-3, 6-3).
Markovic went 2-1 in singles play with wins over two Yale players: Jim Ji (6-2, 7-5) and Dylan Tsoi (6-3, 6-3).
"It was great to see Sasa and Luis get their first wins as Mustangs, we had a lot of positive takeaways from the weekend in Boston," said Assistant Coach Bryce Pereira.
"Now we go back to work in Dallas, and excited to see them back in action soon."
