Petronzio won his third career tournament at the Wake Forest Invitational posting a final score of three-under ... Petronzio finished in ninth at the Cal Poly Invite with a best round of 68 on the opening day of the tournament ... In October, Petronzio won the Trinity Forest Invitational with a final score of 13-under. The junior shot 68 or better in every round en route to his second career victory ... In the second event this season, the Bee Cave, Texas native finished in a tie for 15
th at the Inverness Intercollegiate. His best round came in an opening round 70 for a score of one-below par.
2021-22 (So.): Posted a championship campaign that saw him win the American Athletic Conference individual title.... Was the third Mustang to win the AAC title, joining Bryson DeChambeau (2014) andÂ
Mac Meissner (2019)... The All-AAC selection went on to finish 39th at the NCAA Bryan Regional... In 33 rounds,  posted a scoring average of 72.27, eight rounds in the 60s and 14 at par or better... Finished the season tied for fifth on the SMU career scoring average list at 72.75 and 10th on career scoring average vs. par at 1.49.Â
2020-21 (Fr.): Named American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year … Joins an exclusive list that includes Will Dodson (2003, WAC), Colt Knost (2003, WAC), Kelly Kraft (2008, C-USA), Bryson DeChambeau (2013, C-USA) and Mac Meissner (2018, AAC) as Mustangs to win conference freshman of the year honors … Averaged 73.24 strokes over 24 rounds, with 10 par-or-better rounds … Tied for fourth at the Trinity Forest Invitational (Mar. 7-9), shooting a -3 … Turned in his best round, and the second-best round by an SMU player all season, with a 5-under 66 in the second round of the Valspar Collegiate Invitational (Mar. 15) … Tied for eighth at the AAC Championship (Apr. 23-25), going par-or-better in all three rounds to shoot -2 … Tied for 18th at the Southwestern Invitational (Jan. 25-27) in his collegiate debut … Had at least one par-or-better round in each of his first seven tournaments … Had five rounds in the 60s … Had no triple-bogeys or worse

Prep: Lettered four seasons at Lake Travis where he posted the lowest scoring average in school history at 70.4 and was named team MVP and co-captain... Earned runner-up honors at the 2020 Byron Nelson Junior, and was top three at the event in 2017... Tied for third at the AJGA Sergio Garcia and participated at the US Amateur in 2019... Finished top five at the IMG Junior World in 2018... Member of the Honor Roll.
