2025-26 (Freshman): Raced with the second varsity four at the Sarasota 2K, the first varsity four at the Orlando Invite and the Lake Wheeler Invitational and the second varsity eight at the ACC Championship … finished second in the 1v4 at the Orlando Invite, crossing the line in 7:30.40 … won the 1v4 race on the second day of the Lake Wheeler Invite with a time of 7:20.94 … placed second in the 2v8 petite final at the ACC Championship, finishing in 6:41.550.
PERSONAL: Potman hails from Deventer, Netherlands where she rowed with De Armstel. Potman was a gold medalist at the 2025 Dutch Championships in the 2x, 4x and 8+. She finished in third at the Dutch National Championship in the 1x. She took home eighth at the Munich International Junior Regatta in the 2x. Potman represented Netherlands at the Coupé de la Jeunesse in Racicé, Czechia.

CHOOSING SMU: Potman is most excited about becoming a part of a high-performance team in a new environment where she can grow as an athlete and a person. Additionally, she is looking forward to training with passionate teammates, learning from experienced coaches and contributing to the success of the SMU rowing program. The opportunity to combine academics and athletics at such a high level is something is something she truly values.
