Shannon Burke joined the SMU sports medicine team in 2018, working with the rowing team.
Shannon comes to us from Idaho State University where she worked with the football and tennis teams. After obtaining her master’s degree in 2016, she completed a one year internship working with football and volleyball at Louisiana Tech University. She was a graduate assistant at Western Illinois University, working with their football team from 2014-2016. She received her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a minor in health promotions from the University of Iowa in May 2014, where she worked with football, men’s basketball, women’s gymnastics, track and field, and women’s basketball.
Shannon is a native of Glenview, Illinois and currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
